Each of the SAGaN partners are industry leaders in the sectors of electronics and space equipment. Together, we have not only the expertise, but also the necessary facilities, instrumentation, and machinery to create a complete gallium nitride (GaN) transistor supply chain for space applications.

Semi Zabala

Semi Zabala is a company dedicated to space level GaN transistors and integrated circuit design. It will become the lead European supplier of space GaN, responsible for generating, marketing and supplying a product range in line with the European space market demand.

Imec

Imec is a research foundry with a track record delivering specialty components to industry. It will take on the role as European foundry for space GaN technology, bringing the technology to higher TRL level specifically for space applications, and supplying wafers to Semi Zabala.

Disco Hi-Tec

Disco Hi-Tec specialises in wafer processing and has the capabilities to do this reliably and to the standards required by space technology. It will form a crucial part of the European space GaN supply chain as the supplier of choice for all wafer post-processing elements.

Sener

Sener, as a spacecraft equipment and instrument manufacturer, will become the lead original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of applications using GaN for space. Sener will showcase the use of GaN in a variety of products such as converters, developing a full range of competitive systems.
